Cabinet Secretary of Health & Human Services Visits
St. Paul’s

Mike Leavitt, Cabinet Secretary for Health & Human Services, paid a visit to St. Paul’s Manor last Wednesday to encourage the residents to sign up for Medicare Part D before the May 15th deadline. The Cabinet Secretary stopped at every table in the dining room during his dinnertime visit to personally greet each resident.

“I know there have been many questions related to the new Medicare Prescription Drug Plan, so I encourage you to do three things”, Leavitt said. “First, place all your prescription drugs on your table, then take out your Medicare card and finally make a call to 1-800-Medicare. It will only take thirty minutes for you to be personally guided to the best plan for your particular needs.”

Cheryl Wilson, CEO for St. Paul’s Senior Homes & Services, remarked that we were honored to host Secretary Leavitt during his tour through California. The residents appreciated his candid answers to their questions and were thrilled that a Cabinet Secretary would take the time to visit St. Paul’s.
